Sunflower Applique Apron
Fall is finally here! To welcome in the season I thought a sunflower apron would be appropriate.
All of the fabric I used to make this apron came from a garage sale! While I love finding cute and cheap fabric at garage sales and thrift stores they are sometimes in odd shapes and scraps. Because of this some of my pattern pieces are pieced together and a few are smaller than the dimensions I give you in the pattern. The main difference is the ruffle on the bottom of the apron. I would have made it about ten inches longer so it would have been a little more tightly gathered. Unfortunately I ran out of material, but I still think this apron turned out very nicely!
The sunflower I used for the applique was on a piece of material with a few different fall scenes. If you can't find a large sunflower on a piece of fabric that is fine, the pattern also includes instructions on how to make your own sunflower from a regular piece of solid color or small print fabric.
This full length apron features a tie strap with a loop around the neck and ties around the waist. It also has gathering at the waist and a ruffle on the bottom! There are two large pockets for holding any recipies, utensils, or anything you might need while busy in the kitchen!
If you would like to make this apron the link to the pattern is here!
