Patriotic Table Decor

With Memorial Day almost here and The Fourth of July just around the corner I decided it was time to break out the patriotic decorations!

The table runner I made out of vintage fabric given to me by my Great, Great Aunt (who is an amazing quilter!).  I love the little children with the flags, don't you?
For the placemats I used the same plaid that is in the table runner.  I simply cut out rectangles, stitched around the sides about an inch from the edge, and unraveled the edges down to my line of stitching to make the fringe.

The center pieces are glass jars (I used old Alfredo sauce jars) that I filled with spent 9mm shells (a good excuse to get in some target practice!).  I cut out circles of the same plaid fabric and tied them over the top of the jars!

The candle holder was a gift from my mother in law and I thought it went nicely with the theme!

God Bless America!
